Also updated the travel page to include the exact venue address and the city map we have with all the hotels: http://szeged2008.drupalcon.org/travel (I've also added explanation on the meaning of color codes with the accommodation markers).
Nothing in Szeged is very far
From what I can tell - downtown looks to be about 15 minutes on foot from the venue. Generally speaking nothing is very far from anything else in szeged and completely walkable. Now if you're on the other side of the river - that's a bit of a hike.
