I'm taking the train from London, as detailed here: http://seat61.com/Hungary.htm
The first option, via Brussels, with the train-hotel from Cologne to Vienna.
Hi, may well join you on this. I/we'll be coming from Cambridge. And we may be as much as:
- me
- my wife Gemma
- 7 month old baby
- Jamey, another developer new to Drupal
Have you booked your tickets yet? How much is it all costing? Why like this rather than flying?
I haven't booked tickets yet -- will do fairly soon.
I'm planning on taking the 10am train out of St Pancras on the Monday, which gives a comfortable changeover time in Cologne (time to have a wander, have a coffee). Arrival in Szeged should be around 4pm Tuesday.
Reasons for doing it on the train instead of the plane:
- the views are better
- no hassle with customs and security
- no waiting around in departure lounges for hours
- I can read on the train, which I can't do on the plane
- the food is probably better
- more legroom
- get to see lots of places on the way
- it's an adventure!
- it's greener.
may well join you
