Ethan grew up with his head in the clouds, so it's no surprise that he ended up working with them. Before working with cloud architectures, he built a six-machine Drupal cluster from scratch (including hardware assembly) and assisted in the development and operation of web clusters up to 30 physical machines in size.
He's spent the last decade working on the internet, including working at Zope Corporation, for a web-hosting provider, a data center, and as a freelance programmer, before finding a home at Acquia.
Although he's only been working with Drupal for the last two years, he's been using open source content management systems since '98.
Ethan hates long walks on the beach, and enjoys bicycling, reading, and experimental epistemology.
