Now you choose the Drupalcon Szeged logo!

Drupalcon Szeged logo suggestionsThe Drupalcon Szeged logo suggestion submission period is over, so we are open for voting. To give you enough time to decide, we are going to run the voting until the end of next Sunday, May 25th.

We got exactly 49 logo suggestions, and lots of them are very professional ones. The cues of sunshine, fish, paprika, Hungary, beautiful ornaments, love, and of course the inevitable Druplicon provided a wide playground for you to free your imaginations. Thanks for all these great suggestions, now choose your favorites! (Note: you need to be logged in on the site to be able to vote).

Random order?

I wonder if the ordering of the logos could affect the outcome... Would it be a good idea to display them in random order?

I never knew this is possible in Drupal. I guess virtually everything is. Is this done by custom code or an existing module? Thanks!

Logo submissions are done with CCK with imagefield and the listing of submissions is done by Views, which is just a query builder for listings, including options to order randomly.

Maybe the title of this post was misleading to those who have not read our logo contest rules carefully. So Quoting from http://szeged2008.drupalcon.org/logo-contest just to make sure we are all on the same page:

How is the winner selected?

Members of this site will be able to vote to indicate their preference for the best design. The Drupalcon Szeged 2008 organizing team will select the final winner; community preference will be a key factor among several others in selecting the winning design. The selection will be made within a few days after the voting period ends.
